Outstanding ‘old-fashioned’ service with wonderful human beings (not machines that waste your precious time placing you on hold for hours) at every juncture that you won’t get with the big companies or even most medium chains. I adore this product – plus its locally made! Australian jobs & lower environment impact by not carting goods across the world adding to supply-chain dramas. We choose a local business to support and was not disappointed. The purchase was made on line, due to lockdown restrictions. Our sofa bed was delivered in October, once lockdown restrictions had been removed. The sofa bed is comfortable to sleep on. We choose the thicker mattress. The quality of the workmanship is very good and our experience with Conny was exceptional. We were kept informed of the delays that we would experience at all times. Very happy with our sofa bed.

Buying a sofa bed online in the middle of lockdown was a trifle risky. We need not have worried. Conny from Sofa bed Specialists was incredibly professional and helpful from the first phone call. She allayed all our fears by providing us with all the information we needed. We bought the fabulous Retro sofa bed in red. It is gorgeous and perfect for our study! I can’t recommend highly enough Sofabed Specialists. From my first initial enquiry online l received a phone call from the lovely Conny. I was unsure about the colour of the sofa and as I was ordering from interstate a little nervous about purchasing site unseen.  Conny went out of her way to take photos of the sofa l was interested in as well as sending a fabric swatch.

Once the order was placed the follow up was excellent with prompt communication about delivery.

I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about buying a sofabed online and from interstate, without any opportunity to see and feel it before committing to the purchase, but I need not have worried. Conny talked me through all the fabric and colour decisions over the phone and via email, sending plenty of samples from which to choose the right colour combination. She had just the right ratio of patience and encouragement! My beautiful green Retro sofabed with cream piping was ready within the timeframe quoted, expertly shipped and ‘commissioned’ by Phil’s Furniture Freighters and looks stunning in its new location. I was recommended Sofabed Specialists by a friend. Checked out the website and found a gorgeous-looking sofabed. What really impressed me was the swiftness of response to my online inquiry, a real person who answered my questions and was even able to tailor a sofa to my specs. I love that they are Aussie-made, which meant it not only felt good to support a local business but also that my order was filled much more quickly than if the product had to be shipped from overseas (which is the reality with many others). A great deal of care was taken in making sure that delivery of my sofabed from Sydney to Melbourne took place without a hitch, again it felt personalised and that they were as invested as me in ensuring my sofa bed was delivered in perfect condition. Their delivery service was again reliable, communicative and careful. I’m usually wary of buying online, sight unseen, but the degree of care and personalisation that Sofabed Specialists delivered put me at ease and my sofabed is so gorgeous, beautiful quality and looks just like the photo. It is absolutely gorgeous and the cushions complement it so well.  The mattress is phenomenal – so comfortable and plush. Very unlike sofabeds I have been used to in the past.
